ABOUT ME<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

I recently realised that I suffered from seeing what I did not have with 20:20 vision and paradoxically a complete blind spot for all things right under my nose.\u00a0<\/p>

Even choosing the business name for this venture, I wanted to convey \u2018courage\u2019 and \u2018curiosity\u2019 and yet not be naff (not an easy scope). Then after weeks of trialing all sorts of combinations, suddenly I saw my name encompassed the exact North Star of the idea – \u2018MpowerD\u2019. I want to be \u2018empowered\u2019 and I want my work to facilitate the empowerment of others through constant self exploration. \u00a0<\/p>

I had clawed at ways to improve my wellbeing, looking under every stone to find serenity and put it in a jar for keeps, until I suddenly realised that I had the answer the whole time and that the answer is investing in self. Nothing complicated, just stop and experience the moment live and there are a plethora of ways to facilitate that opportunity: yoga, sound healing, wild swimming, fire ceremonies, setting intentions, meditating, circles, blustery walks, breath work, drum journeys etc.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

MpowerD does exactly what it says on the tin, it’s a state of mind and it’s one we encourage others to access whilst constantly fighting for our own.\u00a0<\/p>

To be empowered requires you to understand that at times you have not been, that at times you have acquiesced to other’s expectations and unquestionably followed, for it felt safer.\u00a0<\/p>

Then one day you understand that those plans were not yours, your direction was not fixed and why not try to execute ambitions despite how overwhelming the idea seemed. What is the worse that could happen? I understood then that not trying would be the worse conclusion.\u00a0<\/p>

After 10 years in global corporate event delivery, I wanted to marry my professional skills within the wellness space. I trained as a yoga teacher in 2017 thinking that would successfully abate my appetite. The more I explored healing and meditation the more I wanted to curate a space that incorporated multiple elements of healing that requires no advance experience, allowing the benefits to be celebrated immediately.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

One of my best friends and spiritual anchors, the talented Kate Young (https:\/\/www.katefleuryoung.com<\/a><\/em><\/span>) was really gaining ground in yoga, sound healing and breathwork, a collaboration felt almost serendipitous. So we did it and it was better then we could have anticipated.\u00a0<\/p>
